It was an incredible Saturday for Suzuki as they gained their first pole position since 2007 and their first one-two since 1993. However it was all about the Yamaha’s on the Sunday as Jorge Lorenzo finished ahead of teammate, Valentino Rossi. The final podium spot was claimed by Dani Pedrosa, whose Honda teammate, Marc Marquez crashed out.
The stars of Saturday, Suzuki, had a mixed race as Aleix Espargaro crashed out, whilst Maverick Vinales finished sixth.
The result means that Rossi is now only one point ahead of his team mate in the standings, followed by the two Ducati’s, with Marquez down in fifth, sixty nine points behind Rossi.
