Post Race: German Grand Prix

This weekend saw MotoGP compete around the Sachsenring in Germany.It was the last race before the sport’s summer break.


Danny Kent claimed his fifth win on Sunday, extending his lead over championship rival, Enea Bastianini who finished third. Kent’s teammate, Efren Vazquez finished second.


Xavier Simeon claimed his first victory in Moto2 ahead of championship leader Johann Zarco and Alex Rins. Championship challenger, Tito Rabat retired after being collected by Franco Morbidelli in the last turn on the last lap.


A lot of talk going into the event was surrounding Marc Marquez’s impressive record at the German Grand Prix. He managed to continue his good form, finishing ahead of teammate Dani Pedrosa and Valentino Rossi.

With all three classes now heading into a summer break, the series won’t return to action until 7 August, when free practice of the Indianapolis Grand Prix takes place.
