2014 Winners: Moto3 – Alexis Masbou; Moto2 – Esteve Rabat; MotoGP – Dani Pedrosa;
Following on from the Indianapolis Grand Prix, MotoGP and its feeder categories head to the Czech Republic this weekend.
Moto3
Variable weather conditions last time out in Indianapolis meant that Danny Kent’s championship lead was cut by ten points as he could only manage to finish twenty first, whilst his nearest championship rival, Enea Bastianini claimed sixth. The actual Moto3 race was won by Livio Loi, his first in the category. He was joined on the podium by John McPhee and Philipp Ottl who both appeared on the rostrum for the first time in their careers.
Moto2
It was a debut Moto2 win for Spaniard, Alex Rins last time out. The result, along with Rabat only finishing fifth means that Rins is now second in the championship, whilst Rabat has dropped down to third. The championship leader, Johann Zarco, claimed second, allowing him to continue to maintain a sizable championship advantage.
MotoGP
Marquez continued his decent recent run of form by claiming victory in America, ahead of Lorenzo and Rossi. The result means that there is only nine points separating the two Yamaha riders, with Marquez now fifty six points behind Rossi.
All three classes of riders will be hoping for more predictable weather conditions in the Czech Republic as the current championship leaders hope to extend their lead in the standings.
