Earlier in the year I did a feature covering five previous Grand Prix’s that had been held at Monaco. With the Japanese Grand Prix taking place next weekend and it being an important race in Formula One’s folklore, I decided to recount some Japanese Grand Prix’s from yesteryear, starting tomorrow.
First held in the 1970’s, it is a race that has decided many championship battles, although doesn’t so much now as it is not the penultimate or final round of the championship anymore. However, some of the championship’s that have been decided at the event have attained an almost legendary status for one reason or another.
Title fight or not, the Japanese Grand Prix is often an entertaining race.
