Today the Haas F1 Team, who will enter Formula One in 2016 announced a part of their driver line up at their American base in Kannapolis.
After much speculation, Romain Grosjean was confirmed to drive for the team next year. He currently races for Lotus having spent his entire Formula One career with the Enstone based team making his debut in 2009 when the team was Renault, and then returned in 2012 when the team had changed to Lotus.
Haas themselves are an American racing team that have competed in US based motorsport series and, as mentioned at the beginning of this post, will be competing in Formula One in 2016 for the firs time. They have two bases, one located in the US at Kannapolis and another located in the UK in Oxfordshire. The team will be running Ferrari engines having signed a technical partnership with Scuderia Ferrari.
The announcement means that there is now a vacant seat at Lotus, who will potentially become Renault, alongside Maldonado. There has also yet to be confirmation on who will partner Grosjean at Haas, although Esteban Gutierrez is favourite to join the team.
