Formula 2 follows quickly on from its French Grand Prix weekend by supporting Formula 1 at this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix.
On form
New championship leader, Nyck de Vries is certainly on form having managed to score thirty one points in Monaco and a further twenty seven in France.
Also on form coming into the Austrian Grand Prix weekend is Sergio Sette Camara who scored nineteen points in Monaco and twenty eight in France.
Embed from Getty ImagesAlso on form are Guanyu Zhou and Anthoine Hubert who have also scored big points over the previous two race weekends with Zhou scoring twenty points in Monaco and twenty two points in France while Hubert has managed to score nineteen points in Monaco and then also in France.
In need of a result
Although he managed fourteen points across the two races in France, Nicholas Latifi will need to outscore de Vries in Austria to cut into the twelve points that separate the two.
Embed from Getty ImagesHaving started the season strongly and not having been able to score any points in Monaco or France, Luca Ghiotto will need a strong performance in Austria to keep in touch with the current Formula 2 championship leaders.
Another driver needing a strong performance is Mick Schumacher who has failed to score points in the previous three rounds.

In the 2018 Formula 2 Austrian Grand Prix, the feature race was won by George Russell ahead of Lando Norris and Italian, Antonio Fuoco. In the sprint race, Russian, Artem Markelov won ahead of George Russell and Sergio Sette Camara.
