The Moto2 Dutch TT saw Spaniard, Augusto Fernandez, win ahead of Brad Binder and Luca Marini.
A good weekend for…
Fernandez’s win was his first of the 2019 season and also his third podium finish in the last five races. The other two races being a fifth placed finish in Italy and a fourth placed finish in Catalunya.
It was also a good weekend for Swiss, Thomas Luthi, who finished fourth in Assen and took the lead of the championship, in part thanks to Alex Marquez retiring from the race.
The other two podium finishers had a strong weekend as Luca Marini claimed his second podium finish of 2019 and his second in three races while the other podium finisher, Brad Binder, claimed his first podium finish of 2019.
A bad weekend for…
Having entered the weekend on a three race winning streak, it was a difficult weekend for Alex Marquez, who failed to finish the race and therefore lost his lead in the championship.Embed from Getty Images
There were also difficult weekend’s for Lorenzo Baldassarri and Remy Gardner who both recorded their second consecutive retirements.
Moto2 will be back in action this coming weekend as it goes racing in Germany.
