2019 Moto3 Dutch TT Recap

The Moto3 Dutch TT saw Italian, Tony Arbolino, claim his second victory of 2019 ahead of fellow countryman, Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Czech rider, Jakub Kornfeil.

A good weekend for…

It was a good weekend for Dalla Porta who managed to close the gap between himself and current championship leader, Aron Canet, down to seven points.

It was a good weekend for the other two podium finishers, with Arbolino’s win his third trip onto the podim in 2019 having finished third in Argentina and first in Italy. Kornfeil meanwhile claimed his first podium finish of 2019, his previous best finish of the season coming in Spain when he claimed seventh place.

It was a solid weekend for Japanese rider, Ai Ogura, who finished sixth, following on from his sixth placed finish in the round prior, in Catalunya.

A bad weekend for…

Championship leader, Canet, had ultimately a bad weekend having seen his championship lead drastically cut after Dalla Porta finished second while Canet only finish twelfth

It was also another difficult weekend for Japanese rider, Kaito Toba, who failed to finish for the third consecutive race, taking his total number of retirements this season to four.

What next?

Moto3 is immediately back in action this coming weekend as it heads to Germany for the next round of the 2019 season.
