2019 Moto2 German Grand Prix Preview

Moto2 heads to Germany this weekend for the ninth round of the season.

On form

Spaniard, Augusto Fernandez, finds himself in good form going into the weekend, having finished no lower than fifth in the last five races.

The same could be said of current championship leader, Thomas Luthi, who hasn’t failed to finish any lower than sixth in the last six races.

In need of a result

Lorenzo Baldassarri needs a points finish in Germany having failed to finish the last two rounds. The Italian has failed to finish in half of the races so far this season although when he does, he finishes well, having won three races and his only other points finish being a fourth in Italy.

Been there, done that

Of the current Moto2 grid, only Brad Binder and Dominique Aegerter have won the German Grand Prix at the intermediate class level.

Last season

Binder’s Moto2 German Grand Prix victory came last season where he finished ahead of Joan Mir and Luca Marini.
