The NTT IndyCar series contests the twelfth round of the season this weekend as it heads to Iowa Speedway, which is also the third oval of 2019.
On form and one to watch
Josef Newgarden enters the weekend as the leader of the drivers’ championship having finished inside the top five in nine of the eleven rounds so far.
However, Alexander Rossi is only four points behind the championship leader having claimed three consecutive top three finishes going into the Iowa 300 and like Newgarden has finished outside the top five only twice this season.

Also worth noting is Graham Rahal, who since the Indy 500 has been a regular top ten finisher, with his highest finish in this current run coming at the Texas Motor Speedway where he claimed third place.
Also to have shown good form on ovals so far this season is Santino Ferrucci whose best results of 2019 have been a seventh at the Indianapolis 500 and a fourth at Texas.
