Moto2 returns this weekend for the thirteenth round of the season at Misano.
At the top
Alex Marquez leads the rider standings, thirty five points ahead of the nearest group of riders.
There are three riders joint second in the standings heading to Misano with Augusto Fernandez leading Thomas Luthi and Jorge Navaroo, who are all on 146 points.
Embed from Getty ImagesFernandez is the most in form of the three as he is currently on a nine point scoring streak which started in May at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez. His streak includes four podium finishes of which two are race victories, one at Assen and the other in the previous round at Silverstone.
Thomas Luthi is currently classified just below Fernandez having scored points in eight of the last nine races, retiring in the Czech Grand Prix.

Battle for fifth
Twenty one points behind this group is Brad Binder who finds himself a point ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri.
Embed from Getty ImagesBinder is the most in form of the two having finished on the podium in four of the last five races. Baldassarri has also scored points in four of the last five races, although his highest finish was a fourth, achieved at the Austrian Grand Prix.
Rookies
The highest placed rookie is Enea Bastianini who is five points ahead of the next best rookie, fellow Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio. They complete the top ten in the rider standings with the third best rookie, Nicolo Bulega, down in seventeenth, forty one points behind Di Giannantonio.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe rookie in the best form ahead of this weekend is Jorge Martin who has finished in the points in the last four rounds, his highest finish of the season coming at the Austrian Grand Prix, a seventh place finish. All of which leaves him in nineteenth in the standings heading to Misano.
Elsewhere
There are other groups further down the standings to look out for, this includes a battle for thirteenth between Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge, with one point separating the two and Lecuona in better form, having finished in the points in the last three races.
You could also include Andrea Locatelli as part of the group, he is on the longest point scoring run outside of the top ten having finished inside the points in the last six races, currently placing him fifteenth in the standings, six points off Vierge and one ahead of Sam Lowes, who is in sixteenth.
