This week is set to see the World Rally Championship (WRC) conclude its 2021 season with its twelfth event of the year being held at Monza.
Sebastien Ogier will enter the finale at the top of the championship for drivers and 17 points ahead of teammate, and title rival, Elfyn Evans. The latter having managed to finish ahead of Ogier in the two rallies prior to this week. On top of this Evans has also managed to finish ahead of Ogier in the last three Power Stages as well.

Completing the top three in the standings is Thierry Neuville, the Belgian claiming his second victory of the season last time out in Spain. He is 28 points behind Evans and has a 19 point advantage over fourth placed Kalle Rovanpera.
Rovanpera bounced back from a disappointing rally in Finland by finishing fifth in Spain, while also claiming fifth in the Power Stage. The Finn is 12 points clear of Ott Tanak in fifth going into the season finale, the Estonian having retired from the penultimate rally of 2021.
In the championship for manufacturers Toyota heads the table and is 47 points clear of Hyundai, while M-Sport Ford are third and 242 points adrift of Hyundai.
